Where is the character shop?

I found where you can customize characters and trade in those carbonite things but I cannot find where I can buy unlocked characters with studs. I'm probably blind but if someone can let me know that would be greatly appreciated

I too am wondering that. In Lego Jurassic world (made by the same developer.) I didn't find the free play till the endgame.

Where do you trade in the carbonite blocks? I found the custom character creator, but I have yet to figure out where to buy characters or use carbonite blocks.

It's on the resistance base in the medical bay where you make custom characters, it's right inside the big hanger doors!

Kony, go into the medicial bay where you see the custom characters ahead of you. When you see the beds, go to the left, you will see a panel with a picture of cooked chicken/turkey on it. Go inside that panel, and you will see a character roster of each Carbon brick. Click on a carbon brick and that character will be unlocked.

Yeah thanks but I already knew about the carbonite thing as previously stated. I unlocked quite a few characters from doing missions i.e. the flame trooper that do not appear anywhere to be purchased. That is my problem

Did you finish story mode first of all? If you did, hold down the U key and go down, and the character roster will show up, you can buy everyone from there. If you didn't finish story mode, you have to wait to purchase.
