How can i change character
i want to change my character but i can't even when im in open world

how far are you along the story?
you HAVE to beat the main story to unlock free play in the hubs. then and only then are you allowed to change characters in the hub worlds.
that is the law in lego games. no fun til you finish the story. (think free play is dessert and story mode as your greens. didnt your parents ever say eat your greens?)

that was in Lego Marvel Avengers, but this is the Star Wars Force Awekens - another game - another rules
