Question on keyboard / mouse support

Well, this question is mostly directed at players of previous Lego games, and owners of Lego: The Force Awakens when it gets released...

Generally, how is the KBM functionality for Lego games?

I haven't played a Lego game before, and was looking through some of the other games on sale at the moment. One review for The Lord of The Rings mentioned how there was no mouse support, and another one for Jurassic World mentioned its far better to play with a controller instead.

In Lego Games since Lego Star Wars 1 there was never mouse support. You control the main menu with the keyboard or controller. I played the first Lego Games with my keyboard, but nowdays I use a controller. I think it is better to play with a controller. The default key settings in every Lego Game are:
WASD: Move
H: Attack
U: Change Char
J: Jump
K: Special
and some more Keys which I don't remember
In some Lego Games the key settings always resets when you restart the game, which is awful for someone who doesn't like the defeault key settings. Sorry for my bad english.

Yeah. Controller is better, but keyboard works fine. I played a ton of Lego games with KB before I ever got a controller and I enjoyed them just fine.

I wouldn't say they work "fine" they're a pain in the ass, especially aiming with a keyboard. Some games like LEGO LOTR / LEGO Hobbit made certain parts nearly unplayable with keyboard.

I'd always advise buying a pad, even if it's just for the LEGO titles. You'll have much more fun with it like that.

God forbid they give mouse support on a PC game. if i wanted to play a console i'd go buy a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ console

use controller if possible, but keyboard works fine in this game. sometimes keyboard is actually easier, like the parts as bb8 where you have to move the joystick around lol. might want to change some of the binds though
