He doesn't have a source for that -- I'd still be cautious. I mean they're not Nintendo and it's free advertising but I'd make extra sure first

There was a let's play of the game that had started to be uploaded, but the videos have been deleted now.

why not ask the publisher? It may not be safe to ask around on steam and rely on somebodies opinion, right?

People have made videos on the demo so why wouldn't the be able to record the full game

because they have a capture card

That has nothing to do with my statement. I meant they don't have a consequence to making the video on the demo and uploading it.

I made a Let's Play on the demo and there was copyrighted music that i didn't even realised was copyrighted at the time. It was The Falcon Still Flies by John Williams (theme music when you first find the Millenuim Falcon) and I didn't think anything of it at first. Obviously other songs were played during the time I was playing the game, such as the Star Wars theme tune etc.but they weren't flagged as copyrighted... It was only until I uploaded it and YouTube flagged it as featuring copyrighted music that I realised there was a problem. It didn't get me a copyright strike but I believe all monetization went to the third party owner. Anyway YouTube now offer you the ability to remove copyrighted audio from videos. The rest of the audio is fine (gameplay audio, voice etc) just the copyrighted audio is removed. So to be honest, just give it a go and see what YouTube say (if anything) when you upload it, and if there is copyrighted audio featured, just remove it!
Sorry for the paragraph! i just wanted to be clear about what happened to myself and I hope this helped!

thank you all for your help

IceMaster, you don't have to worry about it :) I upload lego walkthroughs and haven't gotten a copyright strike by now. The only thing that does come up is the copyright for some of the music in the games, which you can just delete via youtube (it does it for you so not to worry, you just click to delete that soundtrack). So you're good to go :D
