ps4 controller split screen

So everytime i load up the game and try to play with a ps4 controller it always makes a second player with no binded controlls or random controls on keyboard its legit unplayable with permanent split screen and a afk character ive tried re downloading it forcing steam to not put in the controls but everytime it seems that even if i make the afk character drop out the second i press any buttons on my controll he comes back in ive also tried ''hiding my controller'' on DS4 and input mapper to no success and so far on the internet ive seen no fixes that have worked for me so any help? just bought the game and its unplayable with the split screen thing.

I'm having the exact same issue. Pressing drop out on the keyboard for player 2 doesn't help. Game's unplayable like this.
