Starkiller Wall Thermal Detonator Glitch
Hi, so I can't continue with this game due to a repeates glitch. When you get to the shield door and use the two grappling guns to turn off the shield, my chewie can't lock down on the door with his thermal detonator to blow it up. So I'm stuck here.

On some of those the positioning is unforgiving.... it's worth moving about a bit to see if the target K shows up. Worth a try before anything more drastic.

Hope this helps :)

We would like to have you try the following troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issues you are experiencing. It is possible that the issue you are describing may be an in-game glitch or installation issue.

- Ensure that you have Administrator privileges on the computer you are trying to run the game on.

- Update your video and sound drivers (refer to manufacturer’s website)

Please try turning off your Background Applications and 3rd party services.

To Turn off Background Applications and 3rd party services:

Step 1: Start the System Configuration Utility
Press the Windows key and R key together on your keyboard to bring up the "Run" box.
Type msconfig in the "Run" box, and then press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or provide confirmation.

Step 2: Configure Selective Startup options

1. In the System Configuration Utility dialog box, click Selective Startup on the General tab.
2. Click to clear the Load Startup Items check box.
3. Click the Services tab.
4. Click to select the Hide All Microsoft Services check box.
5. Click Disable All, and then click OK.
6. When you are prompted, click Restart.
7. Try running the game again to see if the problem persists.

If you need to get back to your original configuration, run msconfig again and choose normal startup.
Reboot your system

(Steam ONLY) Step 3: Reverify steam Cache

In order to verify your game files in Steam for a particular game please read the following:

1. Go to you Library, right click on the game.
2. Select Properties and go to the Local Files tab.
3. Select "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" and wait for the process to complete

If none of the above troubleshooting resolves the issue, please let us know and we will follow-up with further troubleshooting options.

That stopping all microsoft services sounds like a really good way to screw up your computer. I reinstalled the game, haven't had a chance to play it but I'll let you know if it did anything.

If you have the Super Detonators red brick activated, try deactivating it. Worked for me, GL!

Had the same problem today, deactivating super detonators helped.

I tried what they sent and it completely screwed up my system..took me 45 minutes to get through the level to try to destroy the wall and then it failed again!!!!
I reported that and they have now asked for my system info (msinfo).. Ill try the red brick solution next....

Hmm... I don't know if I had the red brick on or off. I'll try it again soon.

Deactivating the brick worked for me too, thank you.

Been putting off finishing this game cause I felt like an idiot for not being able to figure out how to get past Starkiller Wall. Never would have thought to disable bricks.

Coincidentally, May the 4th be with you! :steamhappy:
