Windows 10
Has anybody got this thing working in Win 10? If so, can you give me a hint? I've tried all kinds of compatibility settings, verified my files, ran it as an admin, etc etc..... Thanks!

The game seems to run but I can't get any sound. I have the sound settings turned up and other games, etc. have good sound. It is only this game. Anyone have a solution?

Glad to hear you have sound... mine just crashes as soon as I start it. Nothing happens!

Something must have updated because now it is working! I tried it just this week, so maybe you all should try too!
Sorry no I have to put this on my 7 Pro machine. You could try to disable the DPI settings in the exe and see if that works.

I bougt this game in 2016 on a Win 8.1 Laptop and replayed it on a windows 10 PC and never experienced any problems. It just worked without me doing anything. (except steam selling the normal Version as Collectors Edition)

mine was working but then a week ago started to soft lock after it would auto-save and now after a new install it half launches but doesn't do anything and keeps minimizing it's own window

1. Check your version of DirectX:
2. Start > type: dxdiag in the search box and enter.
3. in the DirectX Diagnostic \Tool selcet the System tab, then check the DrectX version numer under System Information

Mine will flash on for a second, and then seemingly crash. I have to keep telling it to run again but then it closes again right after, any advice?

I just played the game on Win 11, not any issues with me, although i had the CE edition directly from BigFishGames, using the bfg client - sorry if that isnt helpful though - They do offer a free downloadable trial version if you want to test it instead (free account signup most likely though) https://www.bigfishgames.com/us/en/games/6828/mystery-case-files-escape-ravenhearst-ce/?pc&lang=en

I finished the game on Windows 11, no special settings, but the game crashed quite often, about 7 times during my playthrough.

Screen would simply freeze, didn't even close properly with Alt-F4.
Though I was able to restart the game using Steam itself and I was able to continue from the last entered scene (lost any progress in the current scene).
