This or attack on titan?

Currently thinking of getting one of these two titles but can't decide.

Best way to choose is to try Attack on Titan then refund it. If you dislike Attack on Titan then you can choose this because its still on pre-order and released on 30 August which is like 2 days from now.

Practically you can download and try Attack on Titan within those time and refund it before God Eater released.

GE has way more content and some depth. AoT is held back due to source material. And since it isn't following the manga, there's even less variety in terms of who you fight.

True but I must say attack on titan is a dam fun game they got the ODM gear amazingly accurate you feel like spiderman with swords.
However im havin a lot f problems with multiplayer so if your after that then i'd say get godeater first and wait till titan is patched.

Both are fun, God eater has more content, and better multiplayer though. But AoT captures the right feelings and mechanics of the series. Beware though, Keyboard controls for AoT are pretty bad, and you might need XInput to fix your controller if you use 360 or XBone controllers.

IMHO attack on titan is not worth 50 bucks, i advice you to buy it with a 50% off at least.
I'm not saying it's garbage, it's simply too expensive for a (bad) porting, nether to say the censorship in this game is huge, you will never see a titan cut in half a human, the camera will always change the angle before that.

And the ost is different (i know, this one is stupid but for me it's a big deal).

But if you prefer a better deal and plus which has more content that justifies the price tag,i say God Eater because if you pre-order god eater,you get GER free which both has a lot of content within them.

AoT is about 24 hours of gameplay for attack and exhibit mode, you might stretch a bit to hit 40 hours. GER/GE2RB is hundreds of hours. Winner is this.

This is not as harsh on your PC specs as AoT too, if you have a weak desktop or a laptop. This is also a way to go.

Only gripe is the price is too high for this especially if you had already been playing if for years before it finally reach steam. It's considered a bargain bin game in some parts of the world...

50 bucks for two games shouldn't be considered high when there's "indie" games selling for 60.

I was in the same situation as you OP between AOT and GE2/GE resurrection awaile back. Half and hour later, I went for GE2 because of the value(GE resurrection, $20 CDN. GE2, $70 CDN. Said costume DLCs as advertised on store page, $9.99 CDN each probably if they ever release preorder DLCs for sale for people who didn't preorder later on like zestiria). I brought this on DLgamer which was $41.99 US(54.61 CDN).

As for AOT W.O.F. along with its few dlcs I didn't really see it being worth $60, even at 17% off($55) now and this is coming from a fan that watched the anime and read the whole manga chapter to its latest. $30 or $40 is the sales price I would go if its comes during the winter sale(high unlikely this year but is being hopeful for it) or the next summer sale.

That "indie"game price is high no doubt, I even told a game developer friend during the first inception of that game, it will be freaking boring due to how game is designed ( Referencing another game called Spore which also have the arbitary goal of reaching center of galaxy nonsense). Only thing going for it, is not because it's Indie but it's a fresh new game.

God eater is old content regardless of it's porting and remakes. Already bargain bin prices in certain parts of the world. So even with "two games" it's expensive to me. If it's around 35~40, I will buy instantly but not at 50. I have a crap ton of games to buy this quarter too so budget is stretching really thin...
