Should i watch the anime first or play the two other games first when it releases?

It doesn't matter which one you do first. The anime only cover some plot from the first game.

God Eater 2 Rage Burst takes place after the anime, so watch the anime first. The Ressurection take place the same as the anime and bit more after where anime ended aswell.

Started to watch the anime on friday thought ok emo with big sword and floppy hair boring drivel time to turn it off but i stuck with it and watched a second episode and you know what i was wrong its actualy realy good and prity dark at times.

I felt the character representations/interactions were (mostly) uninteresting in the anime...
Lore-wise there was some neat things though, and visually it looked good (if not fantastic).

I'd say play the (1st) game first (specifically 4-5 mission ranks), and if you want to see more give it a look.

Play the games first, the anime is just a bonus if you are interested.

The anime does present some of the post-apocalyptic themes in a detailed and gritty light. Also some of the characterization was well, some even better than the game (*cough*Eric*cough*). Also the action scenes are nice, albeit the art style may turn some off.

Overall though, the games will leave you with a conclusive "plot/story".

Resurrection is coming on PC which is Burst + more story.

PlaynResurrection first. The anime chops some of the gram's plot out and fills some other stuff in that you really get more fulfillment from via the game.
