Keyboard or controller?

Neither feels quite right but neither feels wrong either. No idea why.

I use a Logitech G-13, but I assume that unlike myself, you probably have two arms and may get better use with a controller, using your keyboard for some of the less intense extra commands.

I use a controller, and have no trouble with all the action.
Sniping is a bit hard, but it's not possible to shoot all the time anyway, and you can always make homing bullets.

I use mouse and keyboard. I've got no issues with it.

The only thing I wish is that there weren't so many functions tied to one button (switch between gun/blade mode, run, etc)... would be nice to map weapon switch to it's own button. But that's an issue whether you use keyboard or a pad.

Does logitech controllers work with windows 8?

I'm sorry, I don't know. Win8 was pushed as a multimedia OS rather than a gaming OS like 7 and 10. I would advise checking the "details / product info" section of whatever shopping site you use, it should list the OSs the devices will function on.
