What is the best way to level blood bullets?
It levels per damage or per hit? Suppose I want to level the Blast Gun, do I use a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bomb or small shots?

I just used one of basic bomb rounds and got it to 9 in 2 missions. D10+ it doesn't really matter since it just sky rockets in points.

I don't mean to be rude, but that really doesn't help me. I'd like to level my bullets BEFORE getting at rank 10. I'm in D4 still.
Besides, blood bullets are the only way to get new modules on this one, such as debuff heal, it's necessary well before getting to D10.

it took non-stop use of the cannon from d1-d7 or 8 in every story mission(plus some others) to hit r9. You just have to use it, they don't rank up very fast where you're at.
And no it's not necessary for the cure heals before d40 honestly. Even then you're better off just using an immunity mod since the AI are just bad and get you killed more often than not.
If I could I'd bring you into a d15 mission and say have at it with the cannon.

I don't play solo though, I play with a full party, meaning that healing one another is pretty useful. But if the difficulty plays such a big role in levelling, then there's not much to do. Thanks for the info.

I have an Alt that I made and I hit lv 9 as sniper at story 50ish. The only thing I can assume you're not doing is using your gun. If you're playing with a party tell your members to give you aragami bullets for burst.

Secondly you level off based on damage done. So if you do more damage with bigger bombs (overall) then use it. Just do a little calculating with it to see the OP cost and stuff and you'll figure it out.

Finally, NO these bullets are not needed to play the game. You can do just fine without them.

That's what I wanted to know. Then I'll do the best DPS setup I can find. Thanks.

He's using cannons which takes forever.

Actually the higher up you go the less you want to heal others because it will get you BOTH killed. The healing bullets are slow and clunky, and unless you manage to set it for fof the enemies get infront of the shots more often than not.
If you want healing just use a shotgun, it's lower OP cost for similar heal levels, faster, can using it to knock team mates away for fun and for survival, etc.

If it's anything like GER, don't worry about it, we made it to D14 without really needing healing items. We mostly used melee setups with cannons due to their high OP tank, the healing we used was a LL bomb with no other modules, since we were all melee all it took was a Shift+SpaceBar and Left click. Voila, the other three member were fully healed. Alternatively, one or two ran a sniper setup with Trigger Happy and Frugal. That combined with OP recovery predator style made one hell of a damage dealer with healing and buff bullets with 0 risk.

It works, but like I said, I play on a full party. I wouldn't really try to do this in with random people.

Shotgun has one that heals an entire party also but with lower OP cost.
Healing seems a lot different than in GER but that could be me over thinking things.

Trying out the different guns I was able to get rank 5 in 3 missions in difficulty 3 with the assault. I decided to change it out since I played the first game using the rapidfire bullets to make overpowered no cost bullets and this one makes it even stronger with tri bullets control unit and its just stupid. I decided I didn't want to play this game just mashing on attack and staggering everything while breaking my controller. This game just makes it easier with the guns. That being said, all of the guns get some awesome modules. I think blast with the charge and weakness mitigation modules levels fast as well. I think you just need to make some better bullets that cater to your weapon of choices' blood bullet modules. I just got level 5 in difficulty 4 without even trying and I played a little of everything. My strategy is I usually fight the first arigamis using no bullets, and use mutual burst to maintain full burst the entire time, building my reserves constantly. Then once I hit 9 reserve or am on the last big Arigami, I nuke it and kill it instantly. Now I have the ability to heal OP which makes it even stronger. It's crazy.

Just use the modules to their best ability. Use the charge with orbs that cling. Use the weakness mitigation to create long obnoxious bullet chains. Use pierce with spinning bullets on hit to rip through an arigami. I never tried the shotgun so I don't even know what it has so I can't advise.

Poorly modded r15 shotgun with using stock AP buckshot is 2k a hit for 11op.

Well I've only been using cannons, and they're leveling up pretty quick since I'm using the timebomb configuration which literally goes 4-5 digits early game as soon as you pick up Charge.

It gets more ridiculous when you combine it with the antigravity one.
