Besides, blood bullets are the only way to get new modules on this one, such as debuff heal, it's necessary well before getting to D10.
And no it's not necessary for the cure heals before d40 honestly. Even then you're better off just using an immunity mod since the AI are just bad and get you killed more often than not.
If I could I'd bring you into a d15 mission and say have at it with the cannon.
Secondly you level off based on damage done. So if you do more damage with bigger bombs (overall) then use it. Just do a little calculating with it to see the OP cost and stuff and you'll figure it out.
Finally, NO these bullets are not needed to play the game. You can do just fine without them.
Actually the higher up you go the less you want to heal others because it will get you BOTH killed. The healing bullets are slow and clunky, and unless you manage to set it for fof the enemies get infront of the shots more often than not.
If you want healing just use a shotgun, it's lower OP cost for similar heal levels, faster, can using it to knock team mates away for fun and for survival, etc.
It works, but like I said, I play on a full party. I wouldn't really try to do this in with random people.
Healing seems a lot different than in GER but that could be me over thinking things.
Just use the modules to their best ability. Use the charge with orbs that cling. Use the weakness mitigation to create long obnoxious bullet chains. Use pierce with spinning bullets on hit to rip through an arigami. I never tried the shotgun so I don't even know what it has so I can't advise.
