Change voiceovers somehow?
I just got it but the voiceovers irritate me to no end. I can live with some of the shortcommings in the game, but the voices... just no. Is there any way to set the language to anything other than English?

No

Also, please appreciate the hard working of hiring Patrick Seitz (Ragna the Bloodedge) to voice Gilbert Mclain and other professional voice actor

you can use mod for it but may have some bugs and it's not 100% translate.

cutscenes with text box are english without text box are japanese

in battle, any attacks or movements are english chat with window on below left corner are japanese.

some story after complete and count down to 0. game stuck and have to end process (not sure if it because this mod but maybe)

I recommend you finish the game first before install mod.

You can turn off the voices, but that'll also mute the cutscenes since the audio isn't seperate there. The undub projects for both Resurrection and Rage Burst are currently stalled indefinitely.

Looks like you've put under 2 hours into the game. If it turns you off so much, please definitely don't hesitate to refund the game if it isn't too late. Having buyer's remorse really sucks. If you're still into the monster hunting genre, check out Toukiden 2 and Dauntless. Keep in mind, Toukiden 2 doesn't have mouse support and Dauntless requires an invite into the alpha.

Too bad he replaced Morikawa, a way better (also better paid) and more veteran voice actor than Patrick (who also sucks as "NuArthas" in WoW).

Honestly... i havent seen ONE good acting job from Patrick Seitz (at best hes decent/passable), so i am not sure why anyone should be thankful for him to averagely do his job.

You clearly looking at the wrong place. Look at BlazBlue (started at 2010). His performance is top notch

Maybe its because i am used to better dub quality, be them in my native togue or spanish/french.

Honestly, the "run of the mill" anime english dub is usually way worse than the equivalent for those languages, the US industry is that much undeveloped in this particular regard.

Problem with BlazBlue and this game is that while Patrick Seitz is a decent voice actor (and from youtube videos, his Ragna voice isnt anything special), the rest of the cast isnt.

The ♥♥♥ cast is not only better paid for their jobs, but that also implies on a better average quality. You have mostly veteran people (or better experienced, since the industry is bigger over there) doing the whole VO.

There is a reason as to why Japan doesnt employ as much cinema/famous actors in voice over roles as the US does.

BlazBlue's dialogs are heavily rely on how well the performance of the voice actors. If one of they character just nonchalantly read the lines, it will completely ruin the experience

Ye i think english VA for BB did fine although the JP version defintely hired the A Class VA.

Though i didnt realise Gilbert VA same as BB ragna VA , i didnt notice it since BB CS (turn va to jp instead en) it does sound familiar.

The main problem in GE is the Animation in 3D during Cutscenes is cringy , it looks like it really lackings some life into it which kinda acceptable for the studio who working on it.
BB VA perfectly suit due the character depth , animation , story actually following the plot while in GE you have so little time to develop it because its monster hunter type while VN game story + fighting have more dynamic stuff in it.

I cant really compare it to Arcsys studio due they're already considered A Tiers studio because the Art Quality of BB and GG + some other mentioned game they own.

If theres something they need to do with 3rd Installments of GE it would be Animation,Cutscenes and Model.

Alright, I can't speak about Spanish dubs, but we haven't had a really good French dub since Cowboy Bebop, and that was what, 20 years ago?
(except for really big productions like Disney movies and stuff, of course)

Yes exactly why theres huge gap when comparing the Studio who working on the game.

Not sure why but i still doubt Bandai Namco as Publisher,
Judging from the game they released worked on different studio and developer the port seems messy on the release.
Sometimes the update on port is rare compared any other game i've played.
Almost like recent Square Enix Nier Automata release.
