Clothing
So I just reached the Far East and have obtained new clothing to craft, but it all still looks atrocious. I really do not want to look like I am from the 70's. Do the clothing options get better? Are there different ways to obtain new clothing besides progressing through the story?

Yea there's a ton of clothes you unlock as you progress. Each difficulty adds at least 2 styles (each with 4 color variations). My avatar is a female so I haven't look much at the guy's clothing, but I know it's mostly different. From what I've seen the styles are super varied, there's e.g. cowgirl, wedding dress (no joke), lots of Fenrir uniforms, schoolgirl, nerdy, grungy, goth, and so many more I don't know a simple term for. I play on Vita/PS4 and there's an achievement for owning 100 outfits. Don't know if PC has that achievement or not, but either way it has all the same outfits. So there's at least 100 to pick from ;)
My avatar is female as well, and it's all just bad so far. Hopefully I can gain access to some of those styles soon.
Oh, I also received a letter saying the shopkeeper has Kagura's Outfit and Hero Suit B in stock, but it is not there when I look for it. Any ideas/help on why it might be missing and where I can find it?

I'm not sure about those two specifically. Kagura's outfit sounds like one you would buy from the vendor. I know I have outfits for some of the NPCs and cross-over ones which are purchasable from the vendor. But in general new outfits aren't purchasable, just craftable. So check in that menu (Craft -> Tops/Bottoms) at the terminal. If they're not there or at the vendor, I'm not sure why that would be.

The clothing is always going to be a matter of taste, but I think there's several nice styles after you've progressed through the game a bit.

Yea there's so much to pick from that everyone is bound to find something to suit their tastes. Contrast that with like Monster Hunter where you're forced to pick between looking like a clown and having good skills.

the Kagura outfit isnt in game due to licensing issues preventing it from being in the non japanese version. not sure about the hero suit
