Start with Resurrection or 2 ?

Hello, I just bought God Eater 2 Rage burts and it came with Resurrection. If I start from 2 do I miss much ?

I didn't play through Resurrection much, mostly because I played GE on PSP and somewhat remember the story. In my opinion, you'll miss a few important things that are referred to in GE2RB. I'd start with Resurrection if you've never played GE.

Story wise Resurrection first and then the manga(comic) and then Rage Burst

Resurrection is an expansion and upgraphics of God Eater Burst, wich itself was an expansion of God Eater.

God Eater REsurrection is first story wise. PLay it first to get to understnad the lore, besides, both games offer sightly different gameplay mechanics wich makes each feel quiet different.

So does GER have something GE2 doesnt in context of gameplay (supposedly GER has better story than 2) and How big are these 2 games? Expanded version of an expanded game sounds pretty good. Is GE2 Rage burst also in some way expanded version of God eater 2?

Each one have unique gameplay feature, GER have Predator Style while GE2RB have Blood Rage. Both are expansion of GEB and GE2 respectively.

Not just what David said, but also GER have more choices for bullet customizations while GER lack those but add one so your wont hit your teammates.

We cannot explain how Predatory Style and Blood Arts work to be more specific, but the game introduces them within Difficulty 1 and 2. But the more you progress, the better those two get.

No, are not "expansions" but "sequels". GE2RB is the sequel to the expanded God Eater Burst (wich was already an expansion of the original game, God Eater).

God Eater REsurrection is an upgrade graphics AND expanded version of God Eater Burst.

Think on it like the Call Of Duty Infinity Warfare. You can buy that game but you get Modern Warfare REMASTER for free, and the REMASTER is an upgrade graphics of the original one wich is quiet old. And I hate to use COD as an example but its the only recent example I could remember.

Ok thanks, that explains it. i've no idea about COD so (roughly) compared to elder scrolls it might be something like

GE = skyrim
GEB = skyrim + additional content
GER = skyrim remastered
GE2RB = well, its a normal sequel which skyrim doesnt have, but a sequels a sequel

Yeah, exactly like that, so you have two different games, not one being the expansion of the other. Wich is why gameplay wise, they are sightly different with minor tweaks to the mechanics, but stay as hunting games.
