anyone seen the snowman in the begging of the game and know what it has to do with?

I've just begun yesterday and I've seen it. I think it's just another reference to the snow queen.

(like the one at the beginning when the hero said he wanted to sing in isolation atop a mountain). there's a note saying that soldiers were ordered to hunt down the snowman (I think the note said it was named "Oglaf"), the last of the "snow tyrant". That and "summer" being written around it makes me think of the snow queen.

Could be more than that though.
