When playing with a friend. every save portal sais "only host can save"

When playing with a friend. every save portal sais "only host can save" and after crashing or restarting the game the "non-host" account gets reset to level 1 are there any fixes for this? My friend is tired to play underleveld and having to start over every time we want to play together. For host everything works fine progress gets saved and xp and skillpoints aswell for non host its ♥♥♥♥.

In co-op mode the host triggers save process both for himself and for the client. However the client saves only his level and skills without any story progression.
Please, try saving the game on host and progressing futher and ensure that when you restart the game, the client loads his save too.

So far every time we reload the client (not host) his story progression gets saved not his lvl or skills. He comes in the game where i (host) saved so we are like halfway in the game but hes lvl 1

When loading the game in co-op the client uses host's story progression and his own level and skills. So make sure that the client has his save file selected when starting the game in co-op, otherwise he will create a new one and will start from level one.
