Cheaters?

Are there cheaters? I played 10 games and lost 9 of them.

I took a break of 2 years, but some games were just strange. There is this gambit that every ship and base of a faction you choose costs 1 gold less.

My opponent bought a good base for 8 gold on his second or so turn...and instead of 8 gold, there was a 5 displayed. 8-1 = 7...not 5...later he bought another ship for 8 gold...

I noticed this in other games, too...players bought very expensive ships early on and I could not do anything against them.

EDIT I checked the replay...he was all good. He bought a blob ship, then had 4 gold next turn...used the gambit to lower the cost of the 8 gold base to 7, then destroyed the blob ship for another 3 gold...the animation was so fast I did not see that...actually, it was a blue 7, not a 5.
