Full version?
So I already owned this, logged in to the free to play version to unlock the full version, which gave me access to MP and campaigns, but I still have to start the FTP version to play the game and the full version dlc does not show me owning it. Is this how it should be?

Same here, but that's usually how it works with Steam afaik. The game knows you have the DLC after restoring purchases, but it only shows DLC as owned if you actually bought it through Steam. (I'd definitely prefer Steam showing that I own the DLC though.)

I'm just wondering if Steam puts the DLC on sale, can I buy and use it if steam doesn't see me as owning the full version.

I assume so, yeah. All DLCs just say that you need the base game (which is the free version) in order to play each DLC.
The other DLCs are in the full version?

No, that might be a bit misleading to new players. The full version just means the actual full base game. When the game first came out outside of Steam there was the free and full version. The other DLCs add more content.

It would be nice if the devs could put Steam keys for the full version back in the Humble Card Game bundle, if only so that it shows as owned on Steam.
Ahh thanks :)

Agreed, I bought directly from their website when it came out, but would prefer a steam key. I own at least one dlc and could see myself accidentally purchasing it again due to steam not showing what I really own.

I agree that it would be nice if when you linked your account that your existing purchases would somehow sync with Steam. I own the full version along with gambit. I'll unlock bases and battleships here I guess.

It's not misleading. You can play the demo, and if you decide you can upgrade to the full version. The only part that people might find confusion are existing players with white wizard accounts that merge their accounts. The DLC doesn't show up as owned, even though you have access to them through the client. I've already contacted their support and they're trying to figure out if it's possible to sync the DLC to the steam account.

The only difference between this and the full version is there's no multiplayer in the free to play version.

Well, it's been a while but the Medium and Hard AI players are locked in the free version and I think, but not sure, most or all of the campaign is locked.

I decided to read the store page to see if it was confusing.

Free Version

•Playable on Mac OS/X and Windows through Steam, also available on iOS and Android.
•Addictive Deckbuilding Game with Player VS Player Combat.
•Tutorial teaches you to play in minutes.
•Stunning visuals.
•Play VS the AI.
•6 mission campaign mode.

Full Game Additional Features

•Play the AI on 3 different difficulty settings.
•9 additional campaign missions.
•Battle friends face to face with Pass and Play.
•Online play with global rankings.
•Challenge a friend online.
•Play against opponents regardless of their operating system

Player VS Player combat...That's the only thing I find a bit confusing.

The way Steam uses the word "Demo" we cannot list Star Realms as a demo without a major rewrite to our commerce engine. Most games do not use the model Star Realms does, but the Star Realms app is not a demo at all. You get a complete single-player AI experience for free, pass-and-play mode, and the beginning of a campaign.

We do describe the additional benefits of purchasing in the description, but it is clear that many people are missing this. We will update our descriptions to make this even more clear.

Thank you for playing Star Realms. =)

Thanks for clearing that up.

Hopefully you guys can sync our DLC to Steam. :golden:
