Tricky Towers

One rotate direction ?
Ever since Gameboy Tetris , we (a great many of us Tetris fans) have been playing games like this with clockwise plus anti-clockwise rotate buttons - now this game comes along and takes one control away ! Why ? It feels horrible to lose a major control like that ! ((All advanced Tetris players use both rotate keys as it very often means the difference between pressing once and pressing 3 times, crucial at high speeds and when the stack is high)). (I got this game free on PS4 with Playstation Plus - I might get it when cheap on Steam if *proper* controls were restored).

there wasn't anything about them removing that in the latest update so it must have been a mistake, they'll rectify it definitely

No sorry I didn't mean they'd removed it from Tricky Towers, I just meant they'd never put it in which as it is a deliberate choice seems like a removal. Trouble is many players are achieving fantastic scores anyhow so why would they bother to change it ?

my guess is making it so you can rebind your keys in unity is really hard and they didn't get around to adding them all yet, before the update you used to be able to choose between different keys that do the same thing on the keyboard

Agreed! Games in which you control tetrominoes should have rotation controls in both directions. If you play Tricky Towers with a controller you can rotate both ways by using the left and right triggers.

We decided to leave this feature out of the keyboard controls because we felt the mapping was already getting a little complex with the amount of keys we needed. We'll look into adding it to the keyboard keybinding options for a next update. What input device do you use yourself?

Thankyou for response, I use an Xbox 360 joypad ; I know I would find using the triggers too clumsy for rotate and will stick with one direction rotation as the lesser of 2 evils, but I do hope you will add a 2nd rotate button, A for anti-clockwise and B for clockwise being the most usual and comfortable setup. The triggers would be my choice for magic. BTW some Tetris players manage with keyboard using 2 rotate keys and also hard drop and hold keys, search "I don't cheat" on Youtube; pretty scary for an average player like me who can't do that with joypad or keyboard. Also I am finding single player mode on Tricky Towers gets very hard , very quickly! + I am so used to sliding blocks in with the d-pad, using the bumpers makes for yet another increment of difficulty.

"Use a controller because if you don't, we'll remove part of the controls for our game"

You're definitely right though, a game on pc that uses a whopping EIGHT buttons on the keyboard? I'm not some kind of genius engineer with fifty hands!
