Multiplayer has a few problems that makes it difficult to enjoy for too long (at least for me...), except casually with friends.
Singleplayer has the 50 challenges mentioned, as well as two endless modes where you go for score - one for puzzle and one for survival. There are highscore tables (weekly, monthly, global) for these two modes, and you can also try to improve over your own personal bests.
The main issue I have with multiplayer is that skill differences + various gameplay choices the developers have made regarding powerups makes games feel like a cointoss. Usually if you have played a bit you beat everyone, and the rare times you meet someone on your own skill level one of you will get lucky with powerups (spells), and win just due to pure luck rather than skill.
As well as quality of life issues like there being no way of telling which of the 2-4 players on the screen is you, no names or icon or anything.
