Error Message Upon Starting the Game "DRM fail"

Whenever I start the game, either from my desktop or from the Play button within Steam itself, I get this message box; "Steam Digital Rights Management failure, the game could not connect to Steam. You should be able to keep playing in offline mode."
None of my other Steam games give me this error message.
I click "OK" and it loads the game perfectly fine, but it's annoying to have that load delay and error message like a broken game every time.
What is a "DRM fail" and why does this game give me this error when other steam games do not?

The game makes a check to see if the game is correctly connected with Steam.
Not sure why you get this error, my theory is that your Steam client has not properly been updated on that the game is out, yet.
Try again tomorrow and let me know if it is gone by then.

I just manually had Steam check for updates, and my client is up to date, but I will report back if it keeps happening.

Just tried the game and didn't get the DRM fail message anymore.
Steam has just updated again, which is what made me check, so that's probably what it is.
For some reason it wasn't ready for when the game released yesterday.
