Hey so I was kind of going through the PlayStation store and reminisced back to old days when I played Fat Princess. Amazing game that was super competitive and highly fun. I looked it up and saw that they made a new game but not the pvp that I was hoping for. I was curious if there was a way to start a kind petition or sort of push to get notice and make a newer version of the old game. I think it would be amazing and would love to see it back in action, especially now at a time in which I can play it with friends instead alone as a 10 year old in my living room

So glad to hear you enjoyed playing Fat Princess! We certainly would LOVE to have made a Fat Princess 2, but unfortunately that is something that Sony would have to decide on. We made SQUIDS FROM SPACE as the spiritual successor to Fat Princess in hopes to reconnect with the Fat Princess community.

Perhaps if SQUIDS FROM SPACE becomes successful, maybe the idea of Fat Princess 2 will fall back onto their radar and they'll reconsider the project :)

Who knows! I'm unfortunately not sure how to start a petition and then get ahold of Sony with it. I just did a quick google search and there seems to be free sites you can start petitions on. Maybe if you work some social media magic, you might get noticed by Sony at some point :)

In the meantime, I hope you'll still check out SQUIDS FROM SPACE. We do have a similar game mode called 'Capture and Hold' that was based off of Fat Princess.

This is a non-starter because ironic pulp sci-fi resonates with nobody. You might as well try and make an MMO based on Repo Man. Even you don't play this game.

You don't need Sony's permission to pit two teams of druids, paladins, warlocks, and peons against one another in defense of a drunken innkeeper. Fat Princess worked because everyone else who ever tried comic fantasy was born worthless, and because The Hunted had been begging for a two-sided revival since TFC or CS or whatever the hell it was in. (Though you ruined it by making her lose weight so quickly.) Give us four more generic classes, any parallel mutual VIP protection scenario, and above all else an open map format. And this time please make the carry speed penalty last more than a minute or two.

I came back to apologize for the harsh tone I started with. Fat Princess ranks in the top ten things I've ever experienced and you guys don't deserve my snotty attitude. I do stand by my suggestion, though.

I played Fat Princess for thousands of hours. it was special and really hit such a good place of casual and competitive. I've always wanted a sequel or at the very least a spiritual successor. I should at least give this game a try.

We haven't done any marketing, so the playerbase is fairly small as we continue development, but definitely join us on our community days as we get the community together to play a few rounds. Helps us work out any bugs or balance issues :)
