Governor´s Original Crewmembers and Peter McNally
Hey there,

I´d like to know who the Governor´s original crewmembers were, when she entered the orchard. There are some obvious candidates but I´m not sure about many of them exept Persephone. Did anybody get them all?

Oh and by the way, I´m obviously too dumb to help Peter McNally with his throbbing heart problem. Any hint would be really appreciated.

On the latter point, head towards the Kelp Fortress. In one of the rooms approaching it you should get an encounter with another vehicle and it goes from there. Obviously do not avoid any vehicles glowing red around the Kelp Fortress or you'll never progress the quest!

As for the Governor's crew, well Banjo's quest, if you haven't already completed it and chosen to steal the Governor's memories rather than take them to sell , provides you with clues. Otherwise, I haven't gone much into the end-game content because I want to try to wrap up all the crew quests first.

Thanks Laiders72. Found the missing link for McNally.

Spoiler warning below, obviously. I don't know how to black things out sadly, I'll edit it if someone tells me.

The people I know of are: The governor (obvious), Ashen (Yes, from your crew), Mr. Dead before the game started (A very accurate name), G. (Real name unknown), Persephone, Mr. Bad guy in jail. (Can't remember his name, found during the ex-bandit crewmember questline), Leader of the city of Masks (Kinda bad with names, in case you can't tell, the mad angel is upset with her.)

People I am pretty sure of: The Prince, The Mad Angel

Shaky certainty: The overthrown king of the city of engines.

Basically, the Governor's crew and Ashen's hit list are one and the same.

The Prince and Zaraphael are not members of the original crew. Zaraphael is A Literal Angel and the Prince is a visitant from another world who was cryogenically frozen in the Founder.

I seriously doubt that the "bad old man who does terrible things" that you release from the Panomnicon is one of the crew. You can kill him and he doesn't die by his own hand (the caveat of immortality).

SPOILERS AHOY! --

For reference, here is the text from the Governor's memory box:
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii47/entrancedzeda/the%20governers%20memories.png

I'm fairly certain Doctor Grindylow is one of them (surgeon). ("Your wiry little doctor, in his funny round eyeglasses, weeps as he eats.")

Lady Stymphalion aka the Lady of Blades of the City of Masks is alluded to by various dialogues to be another. Likely she was "the masked lantern keeper" (lightbearer). She wears an iron bird-beaked mask.

G. was "the skinny accountant" (recordkeeper?) who writes bad poetry. (In the current events of the game, gluttony has turned him corpulent, and his poetry is really bad.) You can kill him but only with a special bullet made from a gold coin that he infused his own essence into, thus killing him by his own hand.

Ashen is, of course, one of the original crew but not sure who. EDIT -- She's the navigator.

Persephone was the lookout (as well as the Governor's lover).

The Hostage-King was the chief engineer.

I remember him saying something about finding the others, and all nine of them committed an act together, so I think he is one.

Ashen - Navigator (the governors´s own words in the orchard). Thanks for the help. So far I´ve got 5 members confirmend. Lookout, Lightkeeper, Chronicler, Navigator and Captain. 4 to go. Tremendous story by the way!

I think it's time for me to start another playthrough so I can pursue another ending - but just as importantly, take notes and look at things through a new lense now that I know what I know from the Orchard ending. Exciting! I love chipping away at the lore like this. It's what I enjoyed so much about the Sunless Sea/Fallen London universe.

I think the old guy at the castle of the poet knights might be one. Either him or the guy who runs the panonomicon. Maybe both.

What about the Hostage-King, who plots against the City of Engines from beneath Tarwater Bay? He claims to have used his powers to create the City of Engines, importing "more lenient" physical laws from other worlds so that it could be an engineering paradise.

You meet him as part of Dr. Delgado's personal quest.

In his own words: "I am no ordinary man. I am the Hostage-King, a perennial, immortal and unchanging since my time in the garden."

Logically, it would be a pretty strong candidate for Chief Engineer of The Governor's crew.

I think you're right, HoroSaga! Just started my new playthrough today and fished up Dr. Delgado in the City of Engines, and when he told my captain that the Hostage-King was "imprisoned by those who lacked the capability to kill him" it threw up a red flag for me. Good catch. I'll be watching the text for further clues, but honestly that little quote about "immortal since my time in the garden" pretty much confirms it.

Sound thinking. If I´m not mistaken you can get an achievement for ending all immortals (read that in some other post). So I´d say there must be a way to encounter all of them.
suinicide Feb 16, 2017 @ 6:28am
The hostage king can die by his own creation, so that certainly fits.
Tomo Feb 16, 2017 @ 6:49am
The monstrous stretchy man in the prison who you strangle with owlglass must be one on account of being immortal I would say.

My guess is that the "Death's Justiciar" achievement is gained by killing every immortal.
Tomo Feb 16, 2017 @ 6:57am
I think the Omnipope is also one,
My guesses are with potential ways they can die are:
The Governor
The prince (can be killed by heart?)
The shapeshifter in the endless prison (strangle with owl glass)
Persephone
The fat man from ashen quest (killed with his bullets)
Ashen
The lady of knives in mirror city
The omni pope (exploded by the heart engine?)
The hostage king (killed by own machine)
