Report a translation problem
So far, I think I've seen two doors that can be unlocked, both of them far to the southwest (one has a blue glow and the other has a purple glow). I'm sure there are more, but I haven't gotten around to exploring all the edges of the map yet. :)
Also, you can donate keys to your museum.
It's Lisshan, but only if you enter the city from the north or east side, to trigger the patchwork soldier events. Of course, this event will no longer be available if you end the civil war in Lisshan.
There seem to be three very similar events, each of which rewards the player with a different relatively expensive item, but you can definitely get multiple keys from it. I got three keys before I triggered the event that finally stopped it from happening anymore.

Only certain doors can be opened, and they're marked by a glowing aura. Keys are generic, and can open any door as long as it's a door that can be opened. Personally, I've ended up with far more keys than I can use. :)
There's one exception, though. As you progress the main story, you'll discover a very specific door that can only be opened with a specific key.
