It is an item that is useful the first 10 minutes of the game at most. So in these 10 minutes you have to save up 115 func and call in an airdrop to get any use of it at all. And even if you manage to do that, you also need to have found a mantracker in your starting building, otherwise odds are that the item will become useless before you even come across another player.
After 10 minutes of the game, you will come across too many players with T2-T3 weapons, and then the chainsaw get outdamaged.
I even stopped using the Chainsaw myself because its so easy to use, and its not even fun using it because you don't do any thing other than hold a button and get kills.
Sorry, you are just so plain wrong with this statement that I can't take this thread serious anymore. You obviously didn't even try.
So what if it does a high melee damage? Stay away, it's not like you can't hear it coming.
"You can't run"
Still useless 10 minutes into the game. Hit him with the face with your T3 weapon and he will die before you do.
It's your own fault if you try to run and let him chainsaw you in the back.
Seriously, running away from the chainsaw is just about the only way to let it kill you, engage in melee with one and it'll die.
