Trails in the Chest[pastebin.com]
Hideko[pastebin.com]
Me, I didn't think to take screenshots until several snippets in (I thought it was a joke at first).
By the time it occurred to me to do so, I was like "meh, if I still care at that time I'll look it up on the Internet after I finish the game"
The part easiest to miss is that the chest messages change by time of day.
I promise that all parts of both stories are in the game.
The chest messages change by ... time of day? Does this mean I have to go back to chests I already got before during a different part of the game? Or am I not understanding what that means?
I checked obsessively with a completionist guide (even the flashback chests, like Shera's door)... guess I'll have to go back and check again in my next playthrough and see what changes.
Yeah, when you are in Grancel there will be new chest messages on the same chests you checked earlier, once the time of the day shifts from day to evening/night. I myself found it out only by accident. XD
That's got to be the most obscure extra feature not in the original game, which I've ever heard of... but thanks, at least I remember that part and know where to look now. I thought it might have been something with all the "The chest is empty" phrases that show up in Gehenna but I didn't think I could go back there...
Whaaaaatttt????? Man, you learn something new every day.
