Fishing Minigame is *** bullsh*t

Really? who thought that minigame was fun is the stupidest mini-game rng based ♥♥♥♥ I have ever saw.

"okay the only way I lose is if the npc fishes THAT exact fish... AAAAAAAND THERE HE GOES AGAIN" also you have to look to the animations too long it pisses me off.

made me alt+f4 the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game. Can't win even if i catch all fishes following all damn guides. NICE.

Its literally reflexes and strategy. Catch the small ones and then use them to catch the big ones. Your oppenent can fail too soooo yeah.

"reflexes and strategy". Catch all fish, follow the "catch small fish with them for bigger ones" still lose to last fish RNG bullsh*t.

Sun Door 2
Round 1:
Progress Rod + Earth Worm = Trout/Salmon
Metal Rod + Trout/Salmon = Snakehead
Round 2:
Progress Rod + Earth Worm = Crab/Carp
Bamboo + Crab = Granakor
Metal + Carp = Garvelze
Round 3:
Marine Star + Shrimplet = Sea Bass/Kasago,
Marine Star + Kasago, Metal Rod + Sea bass = Gigan/Blue Marlin

If your concern is the timing, the "..." bubble on the start is good indicator. You need to tap the catch button in the same rhytm as "..." bubble goes even after that bubble disappeared...

Also don't quote me on this but it seems that if you manage to catch big fish I mentioned above, the enemy will have less chance to catch it. You need to steal it...

I am having trouble with this too, it isnt even really relexes because I hit it when the ! pops up and I get nothing?

You can cheat to get through the fishing game, so it's not too bad.
It's the poker mini-game that's *really* awful.

Turn off the music and play it by ear. The RNG sucks but you'll eventually win.

This again. There is some RNG in the fishing minigame but the opponent has typically such low scores that it simply doesn't matter.

There are several threads on the fishing minigame here. Go look them up for advice how to beat it.

I killed the bgm on my run so you can clearly hear the audio cue for the catch. It's quite easier if you do that, where as the poker game is pure luck.

They all get pretty decent scores. Perhaps game difficulty is a factor.

Hm, the last round guy rarely even gets 1000 points, sometimes a lot less. Admittedly, I don't know typical scores for the first two rounds but I can't imagine them being much harder than the last one.

I really doubt the difficulty affects this. For what is is worth, the number above is from Nightmare difficulty.

Strange. For me, he consistently got over 1300.

Hm, 1300 points is nontrivial to beat. Though, if you do not make mistakes you should typically land somewhere around 1500. Maybe it's a patch issue. I still have the release version installed without any patches.
