We busting it down on Theday

There is something about playing this game alone in the middle of the night, It really did feel enchanting. I'm not sure why I even like the game, all I did was pick up trash and look up things I didn't understand. This game is so obscure I don't even remember how this game ended up in my library. But I liked it a lot, one of the most unique 100%'s I've done so far. You can get all the achievements the normal way, but the STEAM guide by MAXIMILIO explained it fairly well and it feels super cool to do.

If you're looking for a unique 100% to your collection, and/or interested in a relaxed experience this is the game for you. And that damned OST, I loved the song "Days Feel Long Now".

I totally get why it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea, but I think the game is really charming, enjoyable, and well made. It's lighthearted and silly, with streaks of intrigue and social commentary through it.
I know a lot of people talked about getting lost (which I certainly did more than once), but I honestly picked up the layout really quickly, and there's actually a map in the game manual if you're super stuck.
You can play it at your own pace, speedrunning through, or take your time and learning the city.

I need to get back into this game. Last I played it, I felt like I was on a trip of certain acidity's so to speak and it was something. It's one of those games that is just... something. I definitely like it, but it is a Marmite sort of experience where you will either love it, or hate it... is what I'd normally say but this game is so weird that you may dislike it to begin with, but then fall for it.

I have absolutely no bloody idea what I just said but yeah, it's fun! I also think I got it on sale for literal peanuts (something like £2) so it's certainly a neat experience. And it looks really nice as well. :D

this is a crushing rendition of poverty, yet it still manages to be charming and joyful all the way through. it's a really lovely game. this is the kind of game that makes you viscerally feel the character's position and experience, and feels so palpable to anyone who has ever been poor. it beautifully evokes the constant anxiety, hopelessness, and hectic confusion of poverty overwhelming the player with the busy spaceport, all the while also capturing the color and excitement of a dense city. you scrounge and hoard trash never fully understanding the every changing rules, constantly feel cheated, you have to spend money on food and hormones as fast as you can make it, and progress is unbearably slow. it is so recognizable, despite the completely absurd and alien setting.

as for how the game looks, you probably love it or hate it. i think it is gorgeous. there are so many times i stopped despite my very limited time just to look around. the sound is swings between overstimulating and calming. there are a bunch of wonderful, fully realized views. the game runs very poorly, and it does not have an eye for detail. in many ways, it feels like the game is fighting for it's life just as much as you are. it's wonderful.

You're a trash panda (against your will) stuck on a spaceport makings ends meet by burning trash. Also, you get cursed after trying to go dungeon-hopping and be all gung-ho. Said curse comes in the form of a human skull that goes "BWAH!" at you every now and then as well as drains your luck. Yes, there's a luck index. It's one of the primary mechanics of the game which changes according to whether you keep/incinerate certain kinds of trash, pray to any of the local deities, drop any candles or fetishes, or eat certain foods. Your luck affects your chances of credits being eaten by Redscarves as well as what drops you get from the Lottoshrines (among other things). The main 'quest' in the game is to find a way to break the curse and silence the "BWAH!" skull once and for all. You have to meet different characters, fulfill certain tasks and obtain certain things before you're able to get the tablet that's needed to make the skull go away.

There's five main areas in the spaceport to explore - Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Purple. Each area has its own unique features waiting for you to uncover. My official description of the areas are as follows: Red - armour and weapons, Blue - bank and dungeon, Yellow - where you live, Green - merchants just about anything, Purple - magic and spellwatches. Side note: you can actually sell some of the trash you pick up from the ground to the corresponding merchants who have them for sale, though the value is probably much lesser than what they're being sold for. There's also 9 deities in the game world which you can pray to and offer candles to increase luck (cause why not).

This game's graphics surprised me when I first played it before I got it on Steam. The style is 3D but also not? It can certainly give you a mild headache at first but that should go away after 2 hours of playing. I personally enjoyed the funky and colourful spaceport with its myriad of aliens, lore, nooks and crannies. Theday was my favourite day because of the really pleasant celebration music which varies here and there across the spaceport.

Overall, this game is kinda an anti-RPG because you don't get to embark on any big adventures in the spaceport even though there's items such as treasure maps, dungeon keys, weird crystals, etc. The point of the game is the exact opposite - you wake up everyday, incinerate trash all over the spaceport, learn a little bit about the world (as the player), earn enough credits, buy some dinner before you go to bed, rinse and repeat. Still, it's pretty charming and I return to it from time to time when I feel like getting some peace and quiet. 8.8/10

It's a grind game, its not too fun tbh, feels like a chore sometimes. The art and music is superb, honestly the best qualities of the game, since the gameplay is repetitive and kind of depressing. The ending is a disappointment.
Play it to burn time, or to enjoy Festival day (the 2 songs got stuck to my head for a week lmao). It has performance issues and feels incomplete. 6/10

Its not the best game but something about the world, the vibe, the sound design just made me feel I was actually in the game. Definitely not for everyone but worth giving it a shot :)
