I feel like this game is *this* close to being good.
Maybe it needs a better tutorial or something because as is it feels like
90% praying to RNGsus and 10% bugs.
Wish the sewerdungeon was a bigger part of it as well.

Not a whole lotta game in this game. The basic gameplay loop is too repetitive to find enjoyment in and the graphics and world just don't have enough wonder to keep me interested. There are some aspects of mystery but trying to solve them takes forever and ultimately isn't worth the time.

Not Good

If it's for you, it's for you. If it's not, it's really, really not. This wasn't for me, the message missed me entirely from the get go.

I understood there was supposed to be a message and what that message vaguely meant but it couldn't keep my interest long enough to get me to buy in.

Gameplay at first was jarring and interesting, especially when it originally shifts perspective for the first time. Now I didn't play long enough to see if it did this again but my money is on it doesn't. The gameplay loop after that was being a janitor, cleaning up after others, or sometimes yourself, deciding on what's worth keeping and what needs to just be incinerated. It has a huge emphasis on "superstition" and "karma" which is a big reason I dropped it.

Ultimately, this seems to be a game about self identity and society not recognizing it. Atleast that's what I took from it, but I added a extra layer with it's "luck" system that just took me out of the whole idea because it didn't seem to match the message. But maybe that's the point, idk.

I don't recommend it because I'm not in it's target audience and I don't have anyone who is that I'm close with. But if you are, don't let my review sway you away cause reading the other reviews from people it touched seem to be very happy with their experience.

not my type

I get the idea behind Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, but I don't like it's execution. It was always a danger with the premise that it won't be interesting and it isn't.

Game crashes repeatedly. Once I save and quit for the first time, I could not reopen my save file without the game crashing a few minutes later. I tried starting a new file and the same issue started after I saved and quit, and re opened the game later on.

A strange, broken game.

Ugly. Can't save only the end of the day. No map, so easy to get lost. Not fun
Pro tip: In options turn on version 2007 or something like this name, it makes the game's graphics bearable.

I find this game really boring and tedious. You pick up trash and incinerate it for money, rinse and repeat.
There might be an overarching narrative and quests but it’s frustrating to navigate around the spaceport - There are no maps, no landmarks, no directions, and no signs – absolutely nothing.
I don’t feel like I’m even progressing toward anything, it’s just a time waster and there are better games out there.
It’s really hard for me to recommend this to anyone.
