Help! Bugged tablet from Vyroba Toxx

So i did the quest and bought the smutt for Vyroba Toxx and got the tablet piece. I stored it in the chest in the house, thinking nothing of it, and now it disappeared. The quest still says to talk to him, and I even bought Gardens of the galaxy again to give to him, but when I went to the stop he is supposed to be, he was gone. just experienced the same thing and don't know what to do, have you managed to solve this problem since then or have you just started a new game?
