Mission 19/20 Question/Confusion **SPOILERS**
Did Nahmi kill Brice? I feel like if that's the case, it totally doesn't make sense.

-Xero's protocol is to protect Brice and Nahmi... How doesn't this bother him/her.

-Nahmi says it's about protecting her friends... but Brice is also her friend.

-The ending she says she has a promise to keep... BUT SHE KILLED HER!

I also dislike it greatly from a gameplay perspective. The last boss... you do not get to play a character who you've essentially played the entire game. I love when a game throws monkey wrenches and forces you to improvise, but this is the FINAL BOSS... it's suppose to be the culmination of everything you've learned playing the game put to the test. And instead the level is not that at all.

I'm planning on putting a thumbs down on my review simply because of how jarring this was, and I loved this game up til this point. Now I'm just disgusted to play it because I'm weird and stuff like this bothers me. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Haven't gotten to that point yet myself but I've seen the spoilers around the message board. All I can say is that this reminds of Kingdom Hearts II where you had Riku with you at the end instead of Donald & Goofy, which pissed me off after all the grinding I did.

Still it wouldn't be enough to make me dislike the game. It's outstanding so far and I appreciate the journey more then the end.

I think it has to do with the zodiarcs. They mention that they eat at your will over time and i think Brice's will was out of control. Nahmi has killed to further her goals for a long time so i think a combination of that and the zodiarc forced her hand. At first I'd thought she tried to rip the zodiarc off Brice, but unfortunately that was not the case.

Matlock I actually replied to your comment on my review, but I agree with you. I really enjoyed this game, but as I said, I'm a weirdo, and I just cannot play it any more without feeling upset. And this is 100% because of the ending.

Critter, I actually like that explanation a lot, and I feel like if they really played on that and emphasized that it's the Zodiarc messing with them that caused that, I could have gotten on board with that. HOWEVER, it still would have messed with the gameplay, and I still feel like Xero should have interferred or even become antagonistic. And don't do it at the last mission, do it leading up to the last mission, and then introduce new characters to replace Brice/Xero. Make Brice a boss fight and get Xero to agree she needs to be stopped.

Yes, Nahmi killed Brice. And yes, it made a lot of sense, because Nahmi was essentially under control of the Zodiarc. It's implied throughout the entire game, and confirmed during Xin's arena. Personally, I agree with what happened. Yes, it was a sucker-punch, and I agree that you have to now fight a battle without a third character, but I think that made it even more interesting. Instead of adding a lot of mobs (arena-style) or making them tougher, they change your tactics altogether. The battle is still balanced and very much fun (although understandably shorter), and it all fits perfectly with the game's theme.

I'm sorry, but if you enjoy a game for nearly 20 hours and then decide to leave a negative review just because of the ending, then I can only assume you're a spoiled child. The fact that you care so much about the characters and the story development goes to show how much you actually enjoy the game - you're invested in it. I'm guessing you also leave bad reviews for great movies that don't have Hollywood happy endings?

I had not realized that it was Xero who had control of Namhi. It is true that throughout the adventure they insist very much that the Zodiarcs end up controlling you, and Xero is a Zodiarc, so surely that in the end had controlled Nahmi.
Thanks for your answer, I liked the explanation and made me understand things.
