Insect bait - where do you even get enough fireflies?

The wizard sells them, but that hardly seems like a reasonable source.

Other than that, you get them very sparingly at night from bushes, but that also didn't seem like that good of a source - at least that was my experience, I only got few of them.

Any tips? The bait wants 4, which seems ridiculous, compared to the bread one, where I can easily whip out hundreds of them.

I bought it myself—it's much simpler. Otherwise, you have to pick the flowers to get them—the ones in the swamp, for example.

In swamp there are special flowers that you can only pick at night. They are lit by fireflies. I'm not going to say they always give a firefly but its a very high rate.

Swamp (night flower or something), Astrologist and ocasionally the Rhododendron Bush also drops 'em

Yup flowers almost always give them.

you can see where is craft in the tech tree just hover your mouse over the recipe.

You can get them during the day as well, they are the ones that are stationary
