Issue with Kiln placement?

I had the materials to build the kiln and placed it, however when i go over to it to finish building it i get the prompt to hit F and when i press F nothing happens. I'm not sure if this is a bug or something i'm doing wrong? is there a way to pick it back up or cancel the build?

You aren't the only one. I'm experiencing that now. I exited the game, let the update run, and it's still an issue. I have full energy. I was able to place it and it consumed the materials. The [F] prompt is there, but it won't interact.

Uhhhh...... I don't suppose anyone has a fix so I can get my kiln? This doesn't feel great.

When you try building it, is there a small cog wheel symbol above the item? If so you might need to get a higher level of manufacturing skill before being able to place it.

I had to build another one in another location. The initial location was bugged. I could walk all the way around it, but couldn't build it.
