Do i need to understand the lore of the first game if i want to play the DLC?
hey guys, as you can see in the title, do i have to have some understanding in the game lore or something for the traitor dlc? been years since i played this game

No, you dont. If you choose the Historian as a passanger you can get a lore dump from him. Only lore you need to know that there is some sort of apocalypse going on.
