Multiple Endings? (spoilers of course)

Or is it always the same? From look at some of the discussions going on here it seems like there is a lot left to interpretation, or a lot just left out. I found it weird I turned into the husk, as I sort of assumed I had survived the first "visitation" but I guess not. Also because my driver was running around in areas where there were husks.

Also it's a little confusing that some people seem unaffected and some are husked but in reality it's the white eyes that survive it, right? So I guess anyone you mean who isn't husked and doesn't have white eyes just managed to avoid the gas?

I get the gas is man made but do the ayy lmaos actually exist? Is the gas made to assist the aliens? Was it taken from them? This game was kind of a trip. I mean something must have killed the big robot.

That's fine, I appreciate the response. Really loved the game honestly. I kind of got the vibe it could easily be a survival crafting game really, just as a thought.

Yeah, we got tons of suggestions about that, but our goal was to make linear plot-driven experience. Randomly generated game doesn't sounds interesting for us:)

Have you played the DLC?
It explained 90% of my questions and when combined with the main game is literally the best fictional story of all time to me.

No, the only difference in the endings is which character dies in the car crash. I don't know which one is cannon to the story but the others aren't really alternate endings as much as game mechanics to give different dialogue.
