if the end says anything (and if you had played any of the other games, they're free), then the -1 floor is essentially what the detective sees - the corrupted memories of the dead animals roaming around in the woods (which I think is hell). I think the game is implying that the detective's next step is going to the hotel.

There should be some good theories about this game by now, I presume.
