Saving Issues

Hello there,

It seems that for some users, Windows prevents 2Dark Steam App edits (which creates save files on your computer). We haven't yet found a fix for this bug, however, we have a temporary workaround:

• Go to the game local files (by default this should be C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\2Dark)
  
• Right-click on the 2Dark.exe file.
  
• Click on Properties and under the Compatibility tab, tick the option: 'run this program as an administrator.'

Please let us know if this solves the issue for you.

La solution que vous proposez ne fonctionne pas.



J'ai cependant trouvé une solution.
Le problème provient du dossier utilisateur. Le mien contenait un caractère spécial.
Comme il est impossible (sous windows 10 en tout cas) de renommer le dossier utilisateur, j'ai créé un nouveau compte administrateur sous windows 10 en prenant soin de ne pas mettre de caractères spéciaux.

Donc ça a fonctionné, je dois juste changer de compte quand je veux lancer le jeu (dans le menu démarrer de windows).

Solution temporaire donc pour le moment, mais qui permet de jouer :)

I found a solution.
The problem depends on the user folder. Mine contained a special character.
It is impossible (with windows 10 anyway) to rename the user folder, so I created a new administrator account without special characters.

And it works, I just have to change account when I want to launch the game (in the start menu of windows).

Temporary solution therefore for the moment, but which allows to play :)

Pour ma part j'avais ce souci de sauvegarde fort barbant . Mais la manip' marche bien .

- Faite un clic droit sur le jeu depuis votre bibliothèque steam / cliquer sur propriété / cliquer sur vérifier les caches du jeu / attender que cela ce fasse .

- Ensuite ,aller dans Program Files / Steam / SteamApps /common / 2Dark / Faite un droit sur le fichier 2Dark.exe./ cliquer sur Exécuter en tant qu' administrateur.

J'ai windows 7 64 bit , je sait pas si ça joue , mais cette manip' fonctionne parfaitement bien , je vais enfin pouvoir profiter du jeu ;)

Alors merci à la communauté d'avoir répondu a mon "appel" et merci BigbenCM de m'avoir expliqué la manip' .

Ca ne fonctionne pas chez moi non plus.
(je parle de la méthode "exécuter ce programme en tant qu'administrateur" sur l'application 2Dark dans le dossier steam, je suis sous windows10)

J'ai déjà observé ce phénomène sur un autre jeu, la cause était la non gestion de l'accent aigu de mon prénom. Ce qui est ironique c'est que dans les 2 cas, le jeu était fait par des français...

Ce qui est abusé, c'est que des mecs comme CPY fixe le bug alors que c'est des hackers et avec un crack ils fixent le truc. C'est pas normal. Et ça fait un bon mois que BigBen nous a dit de patienter. Ils foutent quoi sérieux?

Aucune des solutions proposées ne fonctionne chez moi, à l'exception sans doute de celle proposée par Aleiks, qui consiste à créer un nouvel utilisateur, mais à laquelle je me refuse.

Je ne sais pas si l'update denuvo-free est passée chez moi mais en tout cas il n'y a pas de changements.

Quand apporterez-vous une solution à ce problème ?

Problème toujours non résolu. Impossible de sauvegarder, même exécuté en tant qu'administrateur...
Après tout ce temps c'est juste honteux!

Le jeu a été fait par des français pourtant si l'on a un accent dans son profil windows c'est foutu, c'est juste un comble!

Storybird a résolu ce même problème pour leurs anciens jeux, pourquoi ne pas leur demander un coup de main?

I dropped the game after losing all my progress because of this bug, this is such a shame, I don't want to create a new windows profile especially to play the game. One year later no fix... This is such a shame for what looked like a very promising game...

¡He resuelto el problema! Y ahora entiendo lo que ocurría.
Me decía siempre que había error al guardar la partida. Y si salía del juego, el proceso entero desaparecía. ¿Sabéis cual fué la solución? ¡Comprar el DLC! Parece que los creadores han confirmado su buen funcionamiento si está completo con todo sus contenido extra. Es como si en el DLC hubiese quedado parte de su programación básica. ¡Es horrible que obliguen a compar el lote completo para garantizar su buen funcionamiento!

Problem resolve! And now I understand what happened.
The game say ever an error when I saved game. And if I exit the game, all progress dissapear. You know how is the solve? Buy the DLC! I think the creators only confirmed the good functions if the game is completed with all extra content. I think in the DLC is a part of the basic programming of the game. Is horrible they forced buy all pack for granted a good function!

This issue can appear if your PC name is not in English (Russian, Chinese or whatever letters).

To solve it you can create a new user on your PC with a "proper" name and it will work.


Really well done by the dev:

1) making such a mistake at first place;
2) pinning a tread with a stupid solution that does not work;
3) not giving any info about a proper method, suggested by another user (the above mentioned one);
4) not solving an issue since 2017.

What a nice guy this dev is.

I agree. I'm sure they didnt try to fix the problem. They can ♥♥♥♥ off the next time they release a game on Steam.
