Game doesn't start because 'error unable to load library steamclient.dll'

It's one of two game I own that hand out this error message instead of starting. The other one is GodEater. I tried:
- integrity check, re-downloading
- re-installing steam
- disabling all 3rd-party progs and firewall

NO success so far, need help!

same issue here, just got it today and no idea whats causeing it, i have over 250 games on steam and this is the 1st time a game has ever given me a a trojan alert when it finishs downloading, and becuase said trojan alerted file is part of the game and gets blocked i assume thats whats causeing it but ... the hell?? i have to let a trojan though in order to play this game??? id like to know if this is just a error and its actually just a misread file but i have no idea , any help?

All right, so I'm not the only poor devil having this issue. I got exactly 3 game that show that error and 2 of them don't start at all. The two GodEater games and 2Dark. I already contacted support about this but ... welll ...

Sounds like Denuvo doing its job and since the other games that show that error are also using Denuvo then well maybe its just a random coincidence? Have you bought all the other games with Denuvo up to this point to make sure it really isn't Denuvo?

Just trying really hard to play devil's advocate but it is obvious whats causing the problem, as to the fix well hope for a DRM free version.

I checked this, I got many other games using Denuvo, no problem here.

Well, GodEater also uses Denuvo. Error could be connected to it but I have so many other games that just worked without any issue.
