Game will not start up (Fixed)

When i try to start the game from steam it says it's running, but after like 10 seconds it dosent.
Anyone have any solutions to get launch?

If you ever uninstalled xna4.0 or .net 4.0. Then steam will not know to reinstall. You need to verify that. Many times virus software will stop some games from running...esp when steam says the game is running but u know it is not.

Well i installed both files and went into to my antivirus and changed it to an execption for blood and bacon but still no change. Also if it helps im using windows 10 as my operating system.

No, Just what I described beginning where if i click play on steam or open in the application it just dosent start.

Alright so problem is fixed just had to go to games properties and run in compatibilty mode for windows 7 and run it as administrator.

The game is now running !! We worked for about 20 minutes and found that sometimes running Windows 10 makes the game not work in Steam (an other games). So after locating the game.exe file we changed the compatibility mode to Windows 7 and also checked the Run as Administrator option. The game works now.

I'm having a similar if not the same issue. Game doesn't start at all, steam reports 1 minute of playtime but I've seen no GUI startup screen or anything. I have disabled antivirus, changed compatibility to Win7 and set to run as administrator. I've also installed the XNA4 (which the installer detected as already installed, so I selected repair) Windows 10 doesn't allow me to run the .NET4 or .NET4.5 installers as they report .NET is part of the operating system already. I'm excited to blow up pigs! Please help!

@MrDowntempo, okay we can help you fix the issue. You may have overlooked something like the virus software (add steam to exclusion folder) . Please contact us through messaging and we will walk you through it.

I have the same problem. I did everything as MrDowntempo, but the game does not start. Win 10 Pro 64
I have to ask for a refund ? :(

1. Exit Steam, Disconnect Network cable, Reboot PC
2. DO NOT run STEAM
3. Run Blood and Bacon from DESKTOP shortcut (not from in folder)

Now it runs great :D :D

Yeah, it is Steam bootstrapper getting locked by firewall/virus software

The Dev went out of his way to get the game working with me. You don't see that too often. I'm excited to what he does next with it, and they've earned a customer for life. Had forgotten my router had a firewall, and indeed it was blocking the game, but setting an exception for steam and Blood and Bacon fixed it for me.

Also, I always uncheck the 'Add Desktop Shortcut' box when installing steam games, if you want to try lucadp89's fix but don't have the desktop shortcut to do so, you can have steam recreate it by rightclicking the game in your library and choosing 'Create Desktop Shortcut' from the context menu.

Awesome, yeah in this case it took about an hour to find the problem. But, it is usually one simple thing.....and takes anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hour to locate. It is always great to have players like this who are willing to work with us and make the game experience better. Thank you !!
