The Jackbox Party Pack 3

The Jackbox Party Pack 3

İstatistiklere Bak:
Having low framerates?
The game seems to be running at like 15 frames a second and feels locked. Or is it stylistically supposed to be like that?

Any word on this? I really wanted to play it.
Very sluggish on my friend's PC too, i7-6700k and GTX 1070
I'm having the same issue, i7 processor, 16 gigs of ram, gtx1080 card, a game like this shouldnt be lagging but it's running horribly poorly
No OBS running, turned off any NVIDIA overlay stuff, still running slow
Same here. No recording software (even nVidia), even disabled steam overlay, still having issues.

i5
16GB RAM
GTX 1070
I'm having the low framerate issue with Tee K.O. Quiplash 2 and Guesspionage run fine, but I was monitoring processor use while playing Tee K.O., and it was using between 50 - 70% of the CPU at around 11 - 15 FPS. This wouldn't be a problem if streaming wasn't taking up a large part of the processor as well. CPU spikes were in the upper 90%.

Specs:

i5-4690k
16GB DDR3
GTX-670
MSI Z-97 gaming 5 mobo

Hope there's a fix or at least a workaround, Tee K.O. absolutely slew us with laughter on my stream, but the risk of running near 100% CPU constantly is sadly not worth even that much laughing. :(

Edit: couple other possibly helpful things: was running windowed, streaming with current version of OBS Studio at 720p/60

Same issues as everyone else. Jackbox Party Pack 2 works fine but 3 is sluggish in menus and games. Windowed nor Fullscreen made a difference. I also ran my monitor at 1080p rather than 4k to no avail.

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/lycoloco/saved/dLKKHx is my build

Thanks for checking into this and hope to have it fixed for many more great parties!

Unfortunately have to +1 this. Performance is extremely sluggish in both fullscreen and windowed mode and regardless of if any overlays or recording services are running or not.

Specs[i.imgur.com] in case it helps with the troubleshooting.

Jackbox 1, 2 and Drawful 2 are still working fine, but Jackbox 3 is currently a party pooper over here. :steamsad:

Jackbox 1's fine on mine, 2 is relatively okay for me, noticeable lag for me in Drawful 2 (which is 98mb download I believe)
Have tried with nettops and laptops both running i3 1.8ghz (should still be better than the minimum 2.0ghz dual core - right?) and they are painfully slow on TMP. Tried with both Windows 7 and 10. Either there's an issue with the game currnetly or the minimum specs listed need to be raised much higher, but other people here with much more powerful machines are reporting issues.

Edit: This did not work

Think i fixed it! temporarily anyway.

Used standard troubelshooting steps.

Disabled Gsync, didn't work.
Ran compatibilty mode (windows 7), didn't work.
Ran as system administrator from raw .exe in file browser, worked immediately.

I'm currently playing it with friends, i'll retest afterwards, but for those who are wanting to play right now, give it a shot. Set it to windows 7 compatibilyt mode, then admin run.

Nevermind, it does not work for the games itself, only the jackbox party pack introduction screen and the menu choices
Alright, bit more testing.

Game runs like absolute **** on my main PC, but on my little alienware alpha it runs buttery smooth.

Main PC Specs (the problem):

i7 6700k - non overclocked
GTX 980ti - non overclocked
16gb DDR4
Windows 10 64bit
peripherals: Razer keyboard/mouse (synapse), HTC Vive, Xbox one controller adapter
Display output: Display port @ 2560x1440 : 165hz

Alienware alpha (no problem at all)

i3-4130t - non overclocked
Some inbuilt mobile Geforce GPU - 2gb GDDR5
8gb DDR3
Windows 10 64bit
peripherals: Generic microsoft mouse and keyboard, logitech headset.
Display output: HDMI @ 1920x1080 : 60hz

On the machine with the issue, i've attempted the following:
Disabled Gsync
Reduced display output refresh rate
Ran compatibilty mode
Ran as system administrator (this manages to imrpove the frame rate of the startup of the game as well as the main menu choices of the games).
Reinstalled the game
Restarted the computer
I have windows defender and firewall disabled.
No antivirus software
Windows is entirely up too date.
Verified integrity of game files did nothing.

The primary issue is not just frame rate, but actual game processing rate.

Eg; at the beginning of any game when all players are in, and you click 'start game' on the VIP phone, the audio for 3..2..1 will play just fine, but the actual animations will take 10 seconds PER number. You are literally waiting 30 seconds for the countdown to finish.

This is true for all the games in the bundle.

Hope this post helps to get this sorted, in the meantime i'm just playing on my secondary machine (which is much older/weaker).

Send us screenshots of your running processes, some software program on your machines has to be causing the issue.

Thanks for the feedback. We are looking into the framerate issues.
