Yes, we use it for game stats. You should whitelist it if you're having connection problems.
For example in the T-shirt game most of us receive the drawings in the last 20ish secs.
Often (not always) answers take 5+ seconds to submit.
I don't know about google but I'm guessing that stuff won't work reliably here.
Was this on PS4 or Steam??
Our engineers are making progress on a fix, sorry for the trouble. We hope to have a patch released soon.

Are you still having this problem? Try uninstalling and re-installing and see if that helps.
