That's not possible with satellite imagery. It is frustrating that it's all there in google earth vr, but just out of reach.

It would be great to have the whole world in aerofly but I think that would mean lower res less detailed scenery, I'd rather have less area with high res and mega detail, I'm sure there will be DLC in the future for other country's areas, I'd love to see UK DLC but not at the price of FSX style out the box graphics, DLC is the way to go so we can buy the areas we want in glorious high detail high res. Mapping the whole world to the same standard we are enjoying at the moment just really isn't practicle right now, just think of the insane amount of storage space you would need for such thing. I for one don't want FSX graphics creeping into Aerofly.

Actually, the whole earth already is there, just in very very very low resolution.

Ever since playing Google Earth VR, I have had a dream that someday, somebody will intergrate the 3D buildings (I'm talking about the LIDAR scanned ones, not the user made ones,) into a flight sim.
Although this would be useless for anything under a couple of hundred feet, there could be an LoD system that replaces them with autogen or something near the airports.

If you download and run Google Earth VR it loads fine even if you go to street view it only take a second to render out.

I don't mind if you plot a course or start flying in an area and it starts loading in the surrounding areas predicting almost the only paths you could take before reaching them.

Some of us have plenty of room to store the images for quick retrieval later, I wouldn’t mind if it stored 2 terabits of data on my hard drive. Its not about the money but the ability.

I am supper happy with the Google earth map and if I could fly there that would be all I needed.

The map resolution and topography is the best I have seen. Add in some workshop 3d model add-ons and you have the best available flight/car/bike simulator there is!
