(Spoilers!) Which ending do you prefer?
I like the one where Inna gets back to her family. It's sad that she had to leave behind her friend, but she has a higher chance of surviving with them. Besides, if the bear cub ever wanted to find his home again, he'd need to leave Inna behind as well. Plus, the whole point of the game was to find your family, and the bear and Inna were helping each other find their families.

I prefer the friend ending. Leaving the bear to an unknown fate and just walk away is not my kind of ending. Also, since a sibling apparently just died I can't say I feel Inna would be safer with her mother :P
Going with the bear buddy maybe a bad idea survival wise, but at least you don't leave anyone all alone. The mother knows you made it through the separation and she'll say goodbye to her children within a year anyway.

There are two possible playable endings? Or do you just theorize about it? If not, how do you choose the bear ending?

You can get a different ending by not swimming across the lake to your family. I haven't tried the second ending myself, i've just heard about it. There must be another place you can go in the map with your friend.

The 3rd memory is the first time you see the 'image' or smell of your family shown walking by you, right when you learn how to follow tracks. It'll be on your right about 20 or 30 feet after you begin in that area.

Hmmm my thoughts are that the whole point of the game was to find your family =P So i say go with your family

And really bears can swim...

if he WANTED to go with you, he'd swim across with you xD

I think he's letting you go, having safely returned you to the family

Besides, he/she can't live with a lynx family, can he/she? He/she's still looking for his/her own family.

I just finished both endings, and I think I prefer the bear one. While it would be nice to go with your family, I cant imagine leaving the bear cub alone. Together the two of us did an ok job surviving, so I think they will be fine and grow up big and strong. The lake was a nice chance to say goodbye and let ur mom know you survived.

I went to my mother, as I didn't think that there was any other endings. Although at first I regretted it, I no longer do. Nature designed the lynx cub to live with her family. Even though she had a friend with the bear, she was supposed to be with her family. Besides, who knows, maybe she sees the bear again with her own cubs. (Also, now that I think of it, the cries of the bear seem to be less of a "Don't leave me!" and more of a "I'll find my family too, I'll see you again, promise!")

i've been trying for hours and I can't seem to get the bear ending. Do you just wait, and then your mother leaves, or do you have to do something special?

Just keep walking along the bank and the bear will get up and follow you. You'll get to a couple of berry bushes and can continue that way.

On my second playthrough I chose "another path". The bear ending just broke my heart, especially when the music started playing.
So I'm gonna replay the game so Inna would stay with her family. It is sad to leave a friend behind, but the thought that bear is some kind of spirit guardian is quite comforting.
