Inna and how she did not best the lonesome fog
This is probably a stupid idea and not even worth starting, but I'd like to just bring up that I do not think that Inna is the same cub as in the lonesome fog.
How I know this, is simple.

This is Innas family. Mommy has star shapes on her and a distinct brown line on her back. Cubs are whitespot, brown-blackspot, 8 point star shape and Inna, who has most of all, arrows and a few black dots.
Here is Inna close up:

The lonesome fog seems to have an entirely different family. (These pictures are available from the preview, so don't worry, I am not showing more than found on the steam shop page)

Mommy Lo:

The cub that gets closest to Innas color, is not the main cub of the story. In fact, these cubs seem to have the same color that Innas cubs have in Shelter 2. Whilst Mother Lo comes the closest to Inna herself, which I assume she was named, to show that this is an entirely different family at all.

Of course, this is just my two cents on it all. Just something I noticed and felt to share.

Yes, but in The Lonesome Fog book, the cub has the same pattern of Inna's Mountain Skin for Shelter 2.

I agree, that the cub in the book is not Inna. It's weird to think that she somehow got lost and found a friend of another species, twice. Also the in-book mother and in-game mother look nothing alike. Maybe there is a trend where each of the skins from Shelter 2 belong to different Lynxes in the story, each who got lost and found a stranger of a different species. Even so, it seems pretty repetitive.

I guess you're right, but I was hoping the cub in the story was Inna. But I'm still going to call the Mother Lynx in Paws, Lo.

I like to belive that every different lynx skin on Shelter2 is a different lynx. I even named them:

Main Skin: Inna
Moutains Main Skin: SnowBall
Main Rare Skin: Burn
Mountains Rare Skin: EagleWing
Prepuchase Skin: Iris

I also named the Paws characters:
Mother Lynx: Star
Spotted Cub: Space
Orange Cub: Ginger
Star Pattern Cub: Dawn
Bear Friend: Fury
Bear´s Mother: Midnight
Bear´s Sister: Twilight

Nice names.

I like the idea, maybe the cub who looked closest to Inna was actually in fact, Inna, and the scared cub was the one that vanished at the end of the Paws game? Maybe she got saved after the events of paws, a little later on maybe?

I haven't the lonesome fog yet, so this is just an idea :).

As much as this makes sense, part of me desires for this to be the same family in Paws. Maybe it's because i'm just DYING to know the names of Inna's mother and her siblings seeing in Shelter 2, at least we were given Inna's cubs default names if we didn't pick to name them ourselves. x'D

I do like to point out that as seasons change in the games, so can the skins just slightly. Plus, it was pointed out that the cub from the Lonesome Fog has the Shelter 2, mountains DLC Inna skin. Perhaps it could be the same Paws family after all, but with seasonal fur pattern changes?

Just throwing out possibility, likely my desperate desires groping for ideas here though. x'D You're probably right, could just be another lynx family after all in the end. ;~;
