Lake creature?

Noticed some creature in the water, where you and your buddy bear cross the lake on the piece of the wood. It will apporach you but then disappear just right when you will get closer to it. It may show up again, pretending to 'chase' you but yet again, will dive deep.

So who or what is it? Here's the screenshot, with bits and pieces of it. Some kind of fish, turtle or perhaps.. some unknown creature from the past?

I also noticed it. It seems too unnatural to be a wave, so maybe another prehistoric creature? Shelter 2 has the mammoth carcass and the sabertooth skull, and the Mountains DLC has the giant snake skeleton, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's another animal from that time period.

yeah i wondered if you went over the wave, a prehistoric creature is probably it.

I wonder if it's a herbivore. I mean, it's in a shallow, isolated lake, so food source for a carnivore would be very limited. Also seems to have an absence of scales, rather like a manatee. But unlike a manatee, it must be a solitary creature. Guess there's no way to tell for sure.

The thing is, as (if you saw) when the mother lynx crossed, the lake was dry (or just low enough she didnt need to carry the cubs), so it must be something that got stranded, or it hided during the semi-drought. I only assume its a turtle, most likely a snapping turtle, but who knows, the creator works in mysterious ways (~.o.)~

Rocks don't move lol ^^, but who knows
