What actually happened to H1Z1?

What killed this game? I remember when people would fill the game and some of the best games of mine were spent here but it's not even a shadow of it's former self.

Game died cuz devs don't give a f about this game. Everything started with the change from the Z1 map to the Z2 map. Then they started changing recoils on guns for example, then after several months (when it was too late) they changed it again to the previous recoils, but it was too late already, cuz everybody left... And now, there is no dev team that would update the game... they are just doing some maintenance of servers... nothing else. I'd like to Z1BR comeback, but it will never happen...

games a lost cause sadly theres a game coming out in July called Anarea Battle Royale its pretty much a remake of H1 pre season 3 thats what were all waiting for right now

I don't think it will be so bleak if we do a good job of anti plug-in function at the beginning ~ as a Chinese, we really like this game ~ we have been persisting in the hope that Liming can improve the situation of plug-in since the plug-in is flying all over the sky. We hope that we don't hate the Chinese and hate the plug-in ~ we love this game!

i spent countless hours on this, and also just survive. When the BR mode took off they pretty much said ♥♥♥♥ the survival mode we will focus on BR, and then they equally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up both lol

It was not daybreak that killed the game it was the investors of the company. They called the shots and what they wanted was money and in which brought the game to a downfall.

AGREED MY FRIEND ITS NOT THEYRE FAULTS BUT MAYBE IF THEY CARE ENOUGH THEY WILL DO WHATS RIGHT AND AT LEAST UPDATE SOMETHING.....oops caps but also if theyre were no devs then the game wouldve fried long ago the fact that the servers are for the most part solid, that is a major plus

they are waiting for a reason to keep going and i say lets give them one by showing how much we love what we sacrificed for and all the memories that brought us to where we are it is much more than a game or a community but a part of our family and our family is hurting

Well you guys know that one of the creators of H1Z1 swapped to PUBG at that time or? Before PUBG there was no other BR that was so hyped. Never really read into it, but I think that should be a killer too. (and the reasons you guys are listing)

Because the devs didn't update the game aside from releasing pay to gain cosmetic content. The game died when PUBG came out, a game while still clunky, was being updated and was a breath of fresh air. Right after the H1 player base switched over to PUB, the H1 devs finally frenzied together to try and update H1 but it was too late. All on them for keeping their player base in the dirt for money, and only updating the game when a competitor came onto the scene.
