Controllers - HOTAS?

Hi,

I´ve been playing this game since it came out in EA. Lately I have tried to use a controller (XBOX) but I find it hard to get used to it. Personally I feel like keyboard is best suited for the game. Does anyone use HOTAS and/or controllers to play?

I typically play it with a HOTAS. Or at least I did back when I actually played it.

EDIT: Should point out this is in the original. The EE is an abomination.

I used a HOTAS, my aim always sucked but I feel like my actual flying was better than I'd be on a KBM. Also stopped at EE

I can't use my HOTAS, because logitech x-56 contain two different part. In the game I can choose only one of them in one time. It make me sad.

I use a Thrustmaster with HOTAS. I feel like I'm about 30% as competent with a joystick as with a mouse keyboards. But it is fun.

Yes, that´s exactly how I feel. The game is much smoother and easier with keyboard and mouse.

i use the same HOTAS but only on oldborne, i was in the betatesting group of the EE but i never actually got to test it, cause it was unbindable and i never flew with mouse and keyboard. i only use the mouse for better aiming as addition to the HOTAS.
gotta add that i haven't rly played as much since EE release, cause i felt that this move split our little community so it got harder to find lobbies to join.
