Singleplayer Enemy Helicopters
Im mostly interested in the singleplayer game but I think I remember reading a long time ago that there are not any enemy helicopters?

If thats true I think im gonna have to pass. Even Battlefield 1942 did great helicopter combat. That came out back in 2002 i think.

First off battlefield 1942 itself never had any helicopters (Planes/bombers/tanks/ships/jeeps)
there was a mod for it called "Desert Combat Battlefield 1942."

AI helicopters are planned, but nobody can say when will it be. Also, currently Heliborne is PvP/Coop game with very small "singleplayer" component.

Don't bypass this game just because of the no AI choppers issue. Really good fun for not much money. The Devs are in constant contact with the community and are making this game better all the time.
