The port's not the problem -- it's the GAME that's garbage
MUA2 is a significant step back into dog crap from MUA1; which was a dumbed down version of X-Men Legends II. The best way to address the many issues that plague this game is in bullet point form:

💩 Small roster with too many generic normies occupying character slots (Iron Fist, Cable, Nick Fury = an her0s)

💩 Pathetically small special attack repertoire of which only one or two abilities are even worth using (read: spamming) -- the best one's being tied and highly restricted by the game's wanky "Fusion" gimmick

💩 Partner A.I. is laughably brain-dead, as all it does it agminate around the player-controlled character like a bad stink, doing nothing, and no longer even attacking props / interactables when the player does (which they did in previous games)

💩 Cannot customise team size (huh?... bath salts?... brain trauma?!)

💩 Progression is very limited and does not feel like RPG progression, rather MMO styled, drip-feeding of the scant few abilities there are (NB: abilities are still locked behind a XP / level wall, irrespective of skill points acquired, which smacks grossly of lazy, post-design game balancing... yet the game is still very easy, even on its hardest difficulty)

💩 Inane, mindless mechanics -- e.g., cannot regenerate special meter while flying / swinging, but can while flailing in melee combat (shameless forcing of players into the horrible melee combat...? lol); Spidey can't web-shoot while in air or climb walls and his web-shot anchors him in place, as well as using copious amounts of stamina to use; Storm can pick up large objects with her hands (lol... wut?!)

💩 Cannot combine or combo attacks beyond a couple of crappy, canned 2~4-hit button-mash combos (before this, Marvel Nemesis allowed for almost any attack combination)

💩 No dodge or dash actions -- mash, jump or bust

💩 Enemies all target the controlled player, only engaging CPU-controlled team mates incidentally, on route to their beeline towards the player

💩 Only one, paltry, alternate skin for the game's miserly few characters... from a franchise whose pro-/antagonists have literally dozens of canonical attire choices

💩 Forced to play as 'Team Generica' for the first 30-ish minutes of the game because... well, who would use those flogged-to-death also-rans otherwise, right? I'm surprised most don't uninstall after an intro like MUA2's...

💩 No hub area. à la the previous two games in this franchise

💩 Team members can be swapped out on the fly, as if they're all just trailing behind, waiting for a call-up (lol)... yet could not be for the first couple of boss fights of the game (as broached)

💩 Little-to-no camera control, be it zooming or even basic rotation (...in single-player -- in local co-op, it's much, much more restrictive)

💩 Level geometry does not fade or become transparent when obscuring player view, which leads to blind spots around every other corner

💩 Dumb game world logic -- e.g., pick up a missile, toss it and it becomes a giant dart whose rocket ignites instantaneously... lol!

👍 Graphics are marginally better than in MUA1

[Port specific]
💩 Runs in the background after exiting, shutting down 'better' when just forced to shut (2.6Gb of RAM vs. 500Mb, respectively)

💩 Graphical glitches on forest level/s and some props (blue, flickering textures)

💩 No controller remapping (Y-button = jump; X = grab... *facepalms*)

💩 Slow-ish loading of cut-scenes, preventing skipping of Ps2-era cinematics until fully loaded (which can be most of the cinematic sequence)

💩 April Fool's joke price tag in late July

👍 Runs okay beyond those issues mentioned -- i.e., it's not Arkahm Knight / MKX "bad"
---

It's so sad that the Marvel license can only spawn increasing shallower games; with even those that showed some promise, either being bàstardised for casuls or dumped altogether.

The game is hardly garbage, but you do bring up some good points. Some of your points are incorrect though.

Didn't notice this... I will test and report back my verification (or denial) of your claims.

A few thing I want to say.

Cable a normy? Hes a telepathic Cyborg from the future. Iron Fist? He the super chi monk why not Luke Cage instead? Nick Fury I agree he a basic human for intents and puposes.

Fusions are strong Team up moves just look at the killing power when used, they need to be rare.

I can dodge and block in the game, I can also rotate the camera I can spin it 360 degrees without moving my hero.

First off this game was released in 2008, if anything MMO's copied from it.

Secondly, you seem to be comparing MH to MUA which are diferent things. Also there are hub areas, that doesn't even make any sense, and there is dodging.

Last but no least MUA2 was in many ways a downgrade from MUA1, we all know that, but it doesn't make it a turd, very far away from that in fact and it did improve in other ways, plus saying Iron Fist, Nick Fury etc aren't true heroes is just plain dumb. Especially when one of them is getting their own series on Netflix.

Opinions aren't facts unless they're facts usurped as opinions. MUA2 not being a turd (relative to other such titles in the genre and, indeed, its predecessors) is about as far from a factual position to take as anything religion has propounded in the last two-plus millennia.

If the game was o so great, it would not have taken nearly a decade to be barfed up on PC and it wouldn't be the stripped-down, bare bones, pale shadow of an ARPG that it undeniably is. I do not see anyone presenting factual counter claims to my criticisms - besides the "dodge" mechanic, which I'll stand corrected on (but is not even core to my arguments... so much so that I'm not even bothering editing my original post) - only shallow fanboy shilling.

I don't hate the game -- had it on Ps3 for years and am obviously still interested enough in the game today to expatiate on its many shortcomings. But, to view this game with fanboy shill arc welding goggles on, only rêtards the potential for future games in the franchise (and genre) striving to become better. That kind of attitude, by very definition, is cancerous.

Like I'm not even sure what you're talking about or why your amazing 2 year old conclusion that opnions are relative does not apply to your own post.

If you'd like to talk about a possible sequel and what features will be in it then do so instead of creating and talking about these shenanigans. This game was made in 2008 and it's not changing, like I said, many things have evolved since then, and calling it a turd is being deluded to say the least. Not to mention calling people fanboys is rather insulting, and I'm pretty sure I didn't said this game was perfect either it's the weakest of the games but still iconic and fun to play.

If you don't like it then...don't play it I guess.

And some of your arguments are utterly incorrect.

What makes you feel so much hate that you do this lol. Most of this stuff isn't even true and the ones that are true ar mostly nitpicking. You have a couple of valid points but it's hard to agree with you when you present them like this.
I really don't care about much of this stuff, It just sucks that I can't play as Moonknight...

You can in the first game :)

Pray the game becomes moddable... though, I've read that no 'more' character can be added to the roster, so char. replacements will be the only option (if it's moddable at all... and the interest is there to do so).
