Can this be played in fullscreen?
I loved this game back in the days.
If it's stretching to full screen I'm buying it

You can check Stand alone mod named The Protectors Mod.

Sorry for the necro of the post, but if you browse to the .exe file, select 'compatibility' and change high DPI settings to allow the application to control overriding, you can play at all the available resolutions in full screen. No mod needed.

This also fixes the issue of not being able to see the entire screen.

This is really useful when playing older games on wide monitors.

from your steam library,

right click on the game name ( on the left, where all your game names appear,)
select 'properties',
select 'local files',
select 'browse' and you'll see the game's EXE, it says 'Battlecry III' right click on that,
select 'properties' click the 'compatibility' tab.
click 'change high DPI settings'
check the box marked 'override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: Application.
click 'okay'

Windows 10, by the way.

You can also, assuming you have a fresh Steam install, download the 1.04b patch aka The Widescreen Patch.

Probably no need to, if Pootwaddle's trick does the trick :D
